About us
These terms apply to the liftgiant.co.uk website and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, orders placed with Lift Giant Limited (company number 13255768), registered at Carleton House, 266–268 Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 3AD. Contact: info@liftgiant.co.uk. Additional written quotations or order-specific terms may apply. Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
Products, prices and orders
We aim to describe products, specifications, availability and prices accurately, but images may be illustrative and details can change. Please check suitability, dimensions and installation requirements before ordering. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed when we accept the order or dispatch the goods, unless we specify otherwise at checkout.
The price, applicable VAT, delivery costs, installation charges and any deposit or staged payment requirements will be confirmed before the order is agreed. We may contact you if details need clarifying before acceptance.
Delivery and unloading
We will confirm delivery arrangements and any estimated timescales. Vehicle lifts and related equipment may need specialist transport, access or unloading equipment. You must tell us about relevant access restrictions and site requirements before ordering. Any additional costs will be discussed before extra work is agreed. Contact us promptly if items arrive damaged, incomplete or incorrect; your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Installation and safe use
Installation may be provided or coordinated through independent specialists, as specified in your quotation or order confirmation. You are responsible for agreed site preparations, including suitable foundations, electrical supplies and access. Equipment must not be used until properly installed and commissioned where required. Follow all supplied instructions, capacity limits, maintenance and inspection requirements, and applicable safety rules.
Cancellations and returns
If you wish to change or cancel an order, please email info@liftgiant.co.uk promptly. Consumers buying eligible goods at a distance usually have 14 days after receipt (or receipt of the final part) to cancel without giving a reason. You can exercise this right by sending us a clear cancellation statement by email or post. Certain legal exceptions apply, including genuinely bespoke or personalised goods.
Where a consumer cancellation right applies, goods should normally be returned within 14 days of giving notice. You may be responsible for return costs where correctly informed before purchase, including disclosed costs for bulky goods. We may deduct for handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods. Eligible refunds, including standard outbound delivery costs where required, will be made within the applicable legal timescales. Services started at your express request during a cancellation period may be subject to separate rules.
Business customers do not normally have a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. Returns of correctly supplied business goods depend on any agreed written returns arrangement. None of this affects statutory rights in relation to faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods or deficient services.
Warranties and aftercare
Warranty terms vary by product and will be set out in the relevant product or order documentation. Any commercial warranty is in addition to consumer statutory rights. Follow maintenance instructions and stop using equipment immediately if it may be unsafe. Contact us with order details and information about any defect so we can assist.
Website use and liability
Website text, photographs, logos and other original content belong to us or our licensors. You must not copy or commercially exploit them without permission, scrape content in a way that interferes with the site, or use the website unlawfully. Nothing restricts uses expressly allowed by law.
We do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any separate limitation for a business project must be expressly agreed and legally valid.
Privacy, complaints and governing law
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal information and cookies. For questions or complaints, email info@liftgiant.co.uk. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your place of residence. We may change these terms for future orders; accepted orders remain subject to the terms agreed at the time unless the law requires otherwise.
