Electric Release Standard Size
This is our a deluxe four-post car lift. With a 24V electric release, this car lift uses solenoid locks rather than manual locking levers to hold the platform securely in place at the touch of a button.
This model is tested and certified as a workshop lift, so whether you want to double your parking space or lift cars for engineering purposes, the standard electric release is a popular choice.
The control gear is horizontally mounted at the back of the platform, saving space on the front posts. This model also comes with folding ramps, so nothing impacts the headspace below the lift.
This parking lift is widely used to provide extra space in commercial settings, such as car leasing companies, fleet owners’ premises and car dealerships. We also provide this car lift as a cost-effective solution for home use, making the most of the free space in the top of your garage to store a second car, classic car or kit car.
Electric Release XLT Special Size
Similar to the above, this XLT model provides extra lift height for parking larger vehicles beneath the lift. The XLT has a maximum lift height of 2.16m, allowing most people to walk comfortably beneath the lift when raised.
The Electric Release XLT uses 24V solenoid locks which hold the cables in place while the lift is not in use. This four-post car lift is suitable for use at home, in commercial settings such as car dealerships, or mechanics workshop settings.

Four Post Car Parking Lift FAQs:
Purchasing a parking lift is a big decision, so it is important to make an informed decision. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our four-post parking lifts, but if you can’t find the answers you need, our team will happily field your questions over the phone.
How do car lifts work?
Our car lifts are hydraulically powered. Each model in the four-post range is powered by a 240v hydraulic pump that sends pressurised oil down a hydraulic pipe to a hydraulic cylinder which is horizontally mounted in the platform of the lift.
This cylinder is connected to lifting cables. As the cylinder is charged by the pump, it extends and in turn pulls the lift cables, raising the lift. As the lift rises, there are mechanical safety locks which engage to secure the platform.
How do car lifts save space?
A car lift can help save space by turning one parking space into two. Rather than fitting two cars side by side in a garage, a car lift allows you to raise one vehicle and park the other underneath. This uses the unused headspace in a garage or parking facility to double your parking, leaving other floorspace clear for tools, storage, workshops or indeed, another car.
How much do four-post car lifts cost?
Typically, a four-post car lift can cost between £2400 and £4300 depending on model, size and custom options.
What other types of car lifts do we offer?
At Lift Giant, you can find the following types of car lifts alongside our 4-post car lifts:
- Extra-tall four-post car lifts
- Two-post car lifts
- Triple stacker car lifts
- Double-wide car lifts
Do we offer free delivery and installation?
No, delivery and installation are not included in our prices.
We offer three different levels of service:
Supply only: Customers can collect parking lifts from our depot in Redditch to then assemble themselves.
Delivery only: We require the postcode of the customer’s property and ask if they have any unloading facilities such as forklift, as well as if it is residential or commercial. From this, we can work out the size of the delivery vehicle required and then quote based on this. Each delivery job is quoted individually as many factors go into the delivery price. We make sure we have the resources to meet the individual needs of the customer.
Delivery and Installation: As well as delivering the parking lift, we unload, assemble and install your parking lift for you, ensuring we have the right tools for the job. Like delivery only, we offer personalised quotes for this service so that we can provide the right level of service for each job.
How long do car lift installations take?
Any car lift installation requires time to unload the lift from the delivery vehicle, position and anchor the posts, assemble the lift fully and complete safety testing and inspection.
Our engineering teams are experienced and well practised at efficient installations, and providing the space is well-prepared and equipped with the appropriate power supply, we are able to complete installation within 5 hours.
What if there is an issue with my car lift?
We provide ongoing maintenance and servicing packages with our car lifts so that you can have access to maintenance and repairs from engineers familiar with your exact lift model. By taking out a car lift maintenance contract, you ensure your car lift is regularly serviced and that you can contact us for repairs as needed.
At Lift Giant, we provide third-party car lift servicing as well as maintenance for our customers. Any car lift owner can hire our team for car lift servicing, repositioning or maintenance whether they bought the lift from us or not.
What is the difference between four-post and double-wide car lifts?
The difference is in width. While double-wide car lifts also have four posts as standard, they are able to lift two vehicles on a single platform, whereas an ordinary four-post car lift is only wide enough for a single vehicle. Double-wide car lifts are often stronger than single-wide four-posters, able to lift up to 4500kg at once.
